Dad's Surgery

Dad had the Basal Cell Carcinoma removed on Wednesday. The Dermatologist did a great job. Now it is just waiting for the scar to heal. The sutures are to be removed next Wednesday.
Here is the drawing of the Carcinoma to be cut out and the lines of where the incision needs to be to get it all and to make the repair the best as possible. This was a sore that just wouldn't heal. It has been there for a long time and was not getting worse, just not any better.

Ady loves boxes!!!!!

Ady loves it when a box is available. She doesn't care whether its is cardboard, plastic or canvas. If a box is available you can find her in it. She is a joy to watch. She is really learning to talk and to make let us know what she is thinking.

Christmas 2008

This is a picture of Mike on Christmas Morning. I worked Christmas Eve and so we opened things after I woke up.
Ady watching Grandma and Grandpa open their gift. We had a lazy fun morning.
Ady was busy opening her gifts. At first she needed help, then she got the hang of tearing the paper. Each little piece of paper had to be handed to Grandpa to go in the garbage bag. She had a busy morning.

Snow December 19, 2008

Well we finally got a really good snowstorm, with snow that will stay on the ground. It was fun shoveling our little walk. Mike was worn out by the time he trudged through the snow to the mailbox. They had not cleared the walks yet. What fun.

Rhona's visit to SLC

On Monday the 17th we spent the day in SLC with Rhona and Jonny Moran. Rhona was our exchange student in 1996 to 1997. They are living in Glasgow, Scotland. It was so lovely to see them and spend the day seeing the sights and visiting. Here we are in the garden on tope of the Conference Center. The day was perfect for being outside. We wandered around temple square, visited in the Hotel Lobby and later had dinner at the Texas Roadhouse in Kearns with Michael's brothers and wives. It was a very enjoyable day.
We met up with Elder and Sister Millet (Ed and Joyce) for lunch at the Lion House Pantry. I have never eaten there before. It was excellent and provided us a good chance to visit with the busy missionaries.

Missionary Zone Conference.

Yesterday our ward RS had the opportunity to feed the missionaries at their Zone Conference. It was a fun thing to do, they were so polite and grateful. There were 70 missionaries plus the Mission Presidency. We fed them sloppy joes and salad. At the end of the meal they all stood together and sang Called to Serve. I wish my camera had been in hand at that time. It was a fun thing to do.
