April

In April I had a lot more colors added to my hair.  I had them add pink, purple, blue, yellow and orange.  What a fun spring/Easter bonnet that made.  In church on Easter Sunday Mike and I had the opportunity to speak during Sacrament Meeting.  The choir also sang "There is a Green Hill", it was fun to accompany them.  They do such a good job.

My talk was on the Atonement:  Its redeeming and enabling power.
I started with an experience when we were first married, we had a car that's battery would not hold a charge and we usually parked on a hill and then gave it a push and popped the clutch to make it start.  One night after attending the temple we couldn't get the car started.  Mike pushed and pushed and it did not start, then he asked "Is the key turned on?"  Of course it wasn't and once it was turned on we could push the car and it started.  The Atonement is like that with the resurrection we are given a car but with the atonement or exaltation the key needs to be turned on.  The miracle of the atonement is not just that we can go home but that we can feel at home there.  Pres. McKay said "The purpose of the Gospel is to make bad men good and good men better.  To change human nature."
